Now you, too, can learn the stage combat system practiced by the Seattle Knights! Since 1992, the Seattle Knights and Pirates of Puget Sound have thrilled audiences across the United States with their high-octane stage combat performances. Part of what has made them so spectacular is their realistic, in-distance combat choreography using actual steel weapons instead of aluminum stage props. For the first time in over thirty years, creator Dameon Willich is making this stage combat system available in written form so that student practitioners from all disciplines may utilize the same system of combat choreography to enhance their performances. This book can be considered Part I and will be added to in future editions: Swashbuckler and Pirates, and Warhorse Equestrian Arts. Although not recommended without a qualified Seattle Knights Academy instructor, an individual could use this book to self-train in the Seattle Knights system for stage combat of various styles and types. In which case, it is best used with prop weapons such as Light Saber combat, where the risk of injury is minimal. DAMEON WILLICH created hundreds of paintings and illustrations while working for DC Comics, Magic the Gathering, Crypt, and many others. Along with being an artist and historian, he has spent more than forty-five years learning his craft as an actor/combatant, and over thirty years as the Director/Combat Choreographer for the Seattle Knights, a steel-fighting and jousting troupe, and has done film, stage and TV work as a stunt rider, actor, and Fight Director and Choreographer.
